Join us to
 Build Backyard Gardens

Volunteer Garden Build Teams
to join us in constructing raised-bed gardens
for families experiencing food insecurity
throughout Southern Maine.

Volunteer teams are challenged to

fundraise $500-1,500
for a family's new Foodscapes gardening experience.

The FGP experience includes Gardener Orientations and a Fall Harvest Celebration, free access to Gardening, Cooking, and Wellness Workshops, free installation and delivery of three raised beds and a trellis, filled with Garbage to Garden soil, seeds and seedlings, printed garden planning resources and recipes, two years of mentorship, and access to a growing online community of organic gardeners in Southern Maine.

Your business, organization, school group or family can help by
signing up as a volunteer garden build team!

All you need to do is:
+ Recruit your build team of 2+ people.
+ Fundraise with your group to sponsor a new family's garden
+ Build 1 complete backyard vegetable garden with your team

All training, materials, and building supplies will be provided.

The goal for each team is to fundraise $500-2,000, which supports the cost of up to two family's gardens
including access to gardening, cooking, and wellness workshops hosted throughout the year.
