What is the Foodscapes Garden Project (FGP)?

The FGP partners with food-insecure households in Maine to increase accessibility to sufficient, safe, and nutritious foods.  We start by building raised vegetable gardens with income eligible families in Maine.

Gardeners benefit from the FGP program through the following materials and services:
  • Three 4' x 8' Raised bed gardens, a 100 square foot in ground bed, OR 3 container gardens
  • Soil and compost
  • Wide selection of seeds and end of season cover crop
  • Various vegetable seedlings
  • Gardening mentorship
  • Access to gardening, cooking, and wellness workshops throughout the year
  • Access to a growing network of organic gardeners in Southern Maine
  • A Growing Guide for Maine-based Gardening

Please contact the FGP Coordinator at FGP@mainefoodscapes.org with any questions.
